An incident happened at the Ribnita Metallurgical Plant. But how dangerous is the level of radioactivity in the atmosphere?

An accident at the Ribnita Metallurgical Plant triggered a wave of public concerns after the social networking information revealed more information that radiation has been emitted from the burning of metals.

According to information circulated on social networks, after the accident, the furnace at the metallurgical plant stopped, after the devices indicating the radioactive background “practically started to scream”. Moreover, in a post on VKontakte, it appeared that immediately after the incident on the scene people would come with masks and protective suits. Employees “have been forced not to disclose information” about the incident.

An accident at the Ribnita Metallurgical Plant triggered a wave of public concerns after the social networking information revealed more information that radiation would have been emitted from the burning of metals.

Former Tiraspol leader Evghenii Shevchuk told TV8 that it was the burning of metals that have emitted radiation.

At the same time, Vasile Benea, Head of State Control and Surveillance at the National Agency for Nuclear and Radiological Activity, told Newsmaker that “neither 4, 5, 6, and 7 March in Moldova did not have an increased level of radiation”.

Benea mentioned that the level of radiation is measured in five places throughout Moldova.

“As for the incident at the metallurgical plant, we can not comment on this because we do not have access there,” the official said.

At the same time, according to him, radiation monitoring systems are installed at the plant. “Every car that goes to the scrap plant goes through the control,” explained Vasile Benya.

The Reintegration Policy Bureau came up with a reference to the incident at the Ribnita Metallurgical Plant, where the furnace ceased.

Thus, the institution confirmed that an incident occurred at the plant, without giving details. According to the office, the intervention services of the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations were not requested.

In the communication with Tiraspol, “an internal investigation is being carried out on the spot to clarify the causes of the situation,” the message of the Reintegration Policy Bureau says.

Representative of Ukraine in the 5 + 2 format: “Russia does not want a political solution on Transnistria”

The special representative of Ukraine in the Transnistrian settlement, Ambassador Viktor Krivanovski, believes that the Russian Federation is interested in maintaining the status quo of the Transnistrian conflict. The statement was made in a forum dedicated to the Transnistrian issue, Ukrinform reports.

“There is no process in the political settlement of the Transnistrian conflict. It is important for Russia to keep this outbreak of tension in the region,” the diplomat said.

According to Krijanovski, by perpetuating this outbreak of tension, Russia is hindering the normal development of the region.

The diplomat added that Ukraine is doing everything in its power to regulate the situation, including the creation of joint control points on the Transnistrian segment of the Moldovan-Ukrainian border.

Reminder: Ukraine, alongside the OSCE and Russia, is one of the mediators in the negotiation format on Transnistria 5 + 2. The US and the EU are observers. Chişinău and Tiraspol are direct negotiators.

The Cryptorepublic of Transnistria. This is who controls the cryptocurrency business of the separatist region

Tiraspol has legalized the acquisition of cryptocurrency in January 2018, after the adoption of the Law on Blockchain Technology Development.

The Transnistrian Cryptocurrency Business has the main beneficiary Sheriff Holding and a former employee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, according to an investigation published by and signed by Ilie Gulca and Madalin Necsuzu. The acquisition of the equipment was carried out by a bank involved in the theft of the billion in Moldova. The actors and businesses involved in the scheme have businesses in the energy, telecommunication, internet in Crimea and in the West.

Technopark is based in the Business Center “Rossia”, one of the most modern buildings in Tiraspol, in contrast to the gray of Soviet architecture. This is a state-owned company that has its own cryptocurrency business. Anyone who wants to invest in cryptographic production in Transnistria must reach Technopark OJSC first. Hence, the potential investor is taken over by director Veaceslav Cernikevich, who takes care of all diligence.

This state-owned company intermediates the sale of electricity produced by the Moldavskaya GRES, owned by the Russian company Inter-Rao, and the Sheriff’s Tirotex-Energo Power Plant, the Moldovan Thermoelectric Power Plant.

All this works on the Russian gas supplied by SA Moldovagaz, on debt, on the left bank of the Dniester River. Tiraspol does not pay the spent gas, the entire debt, over $7,000,000,000, accruing to Moldovagaz.

According to a report of the Russian concert in September 2018, Moldovagaz’s debt to Gazprom amounted to over $6,000,000,000.

Over 90% of this debt is the debt of TAD Tiraspoltransgaz to Gazprom. Added to that, another $1,200,000,000 is given by Gazprom in December 2005 to an offspring company called Factoring Finance.

The Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure has refused to disclose the value of SA Moldovagaz’s debt to Gazprom for gas consumed in the Transnistrian region.

At the same time, the representatives of the same ministry said that the Government of the Republic of Moldova does not assume its obligations towards external suppliers, even if the state owns 35.33% of the shares of Moldovagaz SA.

Thus, on the gas provided by Moldovagaz, on Tiraspol’s debt, the self-proclaimed authorities in Tiraspol tell the potential investors that they offer “the best conditions in the world” for acquiring cryptocurrency.

Tiraspol’s future plans are aimed at big targets. The ultimate goal is to exploit the maximum capacity of power generation by the Cuciurgan Power Plant, which currently operates at 17% capacity.

“We have a considerable reserve of electricity. Basically, we can produce up to 700-900 MWh. It’s a prospect that we can reach if there is a demand for it,” declared Betanov.

Andrei Betanov, 29, is the director of the Tiraspol investment agency who, with the help of Igor Ceaika’s role in organized the blockhouse on the left bank of the Dniester River. Andrei Betanov held important positions within the Ministry of Economy of the so-called Transnistrian Moldovan Republic. He was first head of the section responsible for strategic projects and then, of the State Service of Privatization of the Ministry of Economy in Tiraspol. He is a native of Bender and studied at the Slavonic University in Chisinau.
