A Moldovan parliamentary delegation headed by Deputy Speaker Maria Postoico participates in the ordinary session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) taking place in Strasbourg. The session ends on January 27. <\/p>\n

MPs Vlad Cubreacov, Valeriu Cosarciuc, Dumitru Diacov and Arcadii Pasecinic form part of the delegation. According to the press service of the Parliament, the Moldovan MPs intend to take part in debates on several issues included in the agenda as the observance by Georgia of its commitments to the CE, the integration of women-migrants in Europe, the necessity of condemning internationally the crimes of totalitarian Communist regimes, the situation in Belarus on the threshold of presidential elections, the consequences of Chine’s economic recovery on Europe. <\/p>\n

Among the most awaited events at the current PACE session is the report of the CE Secretary General, Terry Davis, and the discourse on the parliamentary dimension in the activity of the United Nations Organization of the UN General Assembly Chairman, Jan Eliasson. <\/p>\n
