Any fears regarding the exportation of products exclusively on basis of Moldovan customs specimen are groundless, while those who speak about introduction of an economic blockade against the Transnistrian region are not informed well, Reintegration Minister Vasile Sova stated to BASA on Friday. <\/p>\n

Sova said that the understanding between Ukraine and Moldova to allow the exportation of products from the Transnistrian region only on basis of Moldovan specimen "creates very favourable conditions and directs business of entrepreneurs from the left bank of the Dniester river to the legal riverbed." <\/p>\n

He noted that businesses in the region will be provided opportunity to choose how to get registered with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry: in temporary or permanent regime. Also, they will not pay taxes to the state budget, but only a customs duty. <\/p>\n

Sova announced that Moldexpo will host a roundtable on January 23, with the participation of businesses from the Transnistrian region, representatives of the Ministry of Economy, Chamber of Commerce and Industry, foreign embassies in Chisinau. Entrepreneurs from the left bank of the Dniester river will be told the new exportation conditions, which will take effect on January 25, and they will be able to comment on this decision. <\/p>\n

"This roundtable will offer details about the registration procedure on the right bank. The provided information will convince businesses that the "economic blockade" is part of an old vocabulary and it is used exclusively by misinformed persons or those who want to misinform," Sova added. <\/p>\n

The special representative of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Iurii Morozov, said in an interview with the Transnistrian media that "Russia along with Tiraspol is concerned with the new regime of transit of Transnistrian goods through Ukraine." He noted that the decision of Kiev and Chisinau could have negative effects on Transnistrian businesses. Also, he promised "a helping hand to Transnistrian entrepreneurs." <\/p>\n

Evghenii Sevciuk, new chairman of the supreme soviet of the self-proclaimed Transnistrian republic, expressed fears over the enactment of the Moldovan-Ukrainian agreement on Thursday. He threatened again that Tiraspol would withdraw from negotiations, if the decision of Ukraine and Moldova to allow the export of products from the Transnistrian region only on basis of Moldovan customs specimen affects the financial interests of entrepreneurs based on the left bank of the Dniester river. <\/p>\n
