Son of the Moldavian president, Oleg Voronin is missing, states by hints the Moldavian Timpul newspaper. <\/p>\n

According to the paper, most of staff of which previously worked for the newspaper of the Christian Democratic People’s Party and left it after the party’s leader signed an agreement with leader of the Communist Party Vladimir Voronin, the president’s family lost touch with Oleg Voronin several hours before the sentence was announced over the case of the former aide to the RAO UES of Russia, ex-Moldavian Defense Minister Valery Pasat. <\/p>\n

As the paper runs on January 19, citing the Romanian Antenna 1 TV-channel, the day before yesterday the president’s son, one of the most prominent businessmen in the country, departed to Moscow guided by his bodyguards and disappeared. <\/p>\n

Timpul notes, the Antenna 1 TV-channel cited “journalist sources” in Kishinev. However, apart from Timul none of the Moldavian media touched upon the issue of the Voronin’s son disappearance. <\/p>\n

As a REGNUM correspondent reports, rumors about disappearance of Oleg Voronin have been rife in Kishinev since last week. They say, he disappeared on January 6. As for the details given, he allegedly tried to escape and was beaten. The assumption of Voronin Jr. disappearance’s connection with “Pasat’s case” is being actively “warmed up.” <\/p>\n

The presidential residence and agencies in charge declined to comment on the reports on a possible incident with the president’s son, adding they “do not comment on rumors.” <\/p>\n
