\"\"The political partnership declared by the four parliamentary groups on March 24 currently is appreciated by the Communist Party (PCRM) and Christian Democrat People’s Party (PPCD) and criticized by “Our Moldova” Alliance (AMN) and the Democratic Party (PD). <\/p>\n

The leaders of the four parliamentary groups Friday delivered by a speech on the Parliament’s activity this past year. While the representatives of the Communist Party and of the Christian Democratic People’ Party, Eugenia Ostapciuc and Vlad Cubreacov, highly appreciated the political partnership declared by the parliamentary groups in March 2005, those of AMN and PD said this partnership functions only in the relations between the majority parliamentary group and the Christian Democrat MPs. <\/p>\n

PD leader Dumitru Diacov, the first to deliver the speech, said that the political partnership declared in spring is used by Iurie Rosca only. Diacov said that the MPs of the other opposition parliamentary groups are marginalized by the communist majority, their initiatives being rejected. As to the Christian Democrat leader, he uses his post of Deputy Speaker “in order to beat the political opponents being under the protection of the parliamentary majority.” <\/p>\n

PPCD deputy chairperson Vlad Cubreacov said he is pleased with the political partnership based on Moldova’s European option. He stated that under the partnership it was possible to initiate a series of reforms concerning the formation of the Supreme Council of Magistrature, the Supreme Court of Justice, the Central Electoral Commission and of the Audit Office. He stressed that the parliamentary group of PPCD “contributes daily to the activity of adjusting the national legislation to the communitarian aquis, this being its duty in the Parliament, and that despite the criticism leveled at the government for the budgetary and agricultural policy, the year on the whole was a positive one from PPCD’s viewpoint. <\/p>\n

AMN leader Serafim Urecheanu told that the political partnership between PCRM, PPCD and PD superposes on the act of government. According to Urecheanu, the governors allowed the opposition to penetrate such institutions as the Supreme Council of Magistrature, the Supreme Court of Justice, the Audit Office that have a long-term impact, but postpone the reformation of the institutions that have an immediate impact as the prosecutor’s office, the justice, the local administration, the Audiovisual Coordinating Council. Urecheanu said that during this past year the idea of making Moldova European was speculated with cynicism and was greatly undermined. <\/p>\n

The PCRM leader Eugenia Ostapciuc said that the year 2005 was marked by political stability under the political partnership in the Parliament. She expressed her disappointment in connection with the attitude taken by certain political groups in the last three months. “A number of political parties forgot about their electoral commitments and reverted to the old populist slogans. Yet, the country revives from economic and spiritual viewpoint,” Eugenia Ostapciuc told. <\/p>\n
