Gheorghe Susarenco, lawmaker of the Christian Democratic People’s Party (PPCD), demanded the government on Thursday, December 22, to declare William Hill, head of the OSCE Mission to Moldova as persoana non gr ata and to expel him from country. <\/p>\n

Susarenco solicited Foreign and European Integration Minister Andrei Stratan to declare Hill as persona non grata for his attitude towards the negotiation process. In the context, he asked Premier Vasile Tarlev to sack Reintegration Minister Vasile Sova for "being incompetent and for not speaking one of the three official languages of the Moldovan Transnistrian republic." <\/p>\n

The PPCD parliamentarian motivated his demands through the fact that the two officials said at the end of the Transnistrian settlement negotiations last week that the "outcome is better than nothing," and this stance coincides with the standpoint of the Russian Federation on Transnistrian settlement negotiations. <\/p>\n

According to the parliament’s regulation, the executive is to answer the interpellation of the PPCD lawmaker the next weeks. <\/p>\n

The head of the OSCE Mission to Moldova, William Hill, has expressed dissatisfaction with the results of negotiations immediately after the latest round. However, he noted that the agreements that the sides have reached are "better than nothing."
