Christian-Democratic MPs sought Government’s dismissal, while MPs representing “Our Moldova” Alliance, Democratic Party, Social-Liberal Party and the Communist Party criticized the Government for lacking the elaboration of efficient investment policies, for not taking efficient measures in the field of combating corruption and for not respecting conditions of a fair political partnership.

Premier Vasile Tarlev presented Friday in Parliament the report on Government’s activity for the first nine months of 2005. Tarlev pointed out that the GDP raised by 8.6 percent over this period, the average monthly salary increased by 21 percent on October 2004 and constitutes 1377 lei and the rate of unemployment is on decrease, it being of 6.6 percent of the active population.

Assailed by questions, Tarlev voiced concern over the economic situation from the country and stated Government’s dissatisfaction with the results.

In the end each Parliamentary faction appreciated Government’s activity.

AMN leader Serafim Urechean said “the Government changed into a puppy into the hands of President Voronin who usurped the power”.
