Moldovan civil society will have the possibility to decide on the opportunity of legislative initiatives passed by the Parliament. This stipulation is included in the draft concept of cooperation between the Parliament and the civil society. <\/p>\n

Chairman of the Parliament Marian Lupu told Tuesday a press conference that the civil society would have the chance to submit proposals concerning the modification of legislative acts with a view to improving their quality. <\/p>\n

Lupu said this draft concept aims at an open and efficient dialogue between the two sides. He added that this document will be finalized in the next two or three weeks after which it will be approved by the Parliament and implemented in the shortest time possible. <\/p>\n

Under the document, the NGOs will have the possibility to take part in debates within parliamentary commissions and in meetings that address concrete issues from the agenda of the Parliament. <\/p>\n

Asked if this concept could have the same fate as other initiatives of the Moldovan President as regards the cooperation with the civil society, Lupu said this initiative comes as a continuation of the previous projects and that this concept has all the chances to be implemented as it envisages a well-defined mechanism for putting into practice the cooperation between the Parliament and the civil society.  \/\/ Reporter.MD<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
