The Chisinau District Electoral Board has approved the Concept of election campaign coverage over the electronic media for candidates for Chisinau Mayor. The repeated early elections have been scheduled for November 27. <\/p>\n

According to the Concept, the free airtime for each candidate has been doubled to reach 20 minutes on the television and 40 minutes on the radio. Political advertising shall not exceed 3 minutes a day on the television and 5 minutes a day on the radio. For public debates, the candidates shall receive 180 minutes a week. <\/p>\n

At the second round of the elections, finalists shall receive 10 free minutes on the television and 20 minutes on the radio. <\/p>\n

Candidates are supposed to submit to the Teleradio-Moldova company cassettes with their recorded electoral addresses minimum 24 hours before the air is due. The minimal length of the free and paid-for electoral clips is 30 seconds. <\/p>\n
