\"\"A group of 30 members of the National Political Council of “Our Moldova” Alliance (AMN) and seven AMN MPs headed by Dumitru Braghis took the decision to leave the party. This decision was made public at a press conference on Monday. <\/p>\n

Lidia Gutu, Vladimir Ciobanu, Iurii Bolboceanu, Vladimir Braga, Ivan Banari, Nicolae Deatrovshi, and Dumitru Braghis have renounced the status of AMN member. <\/p>\n

This decision resulted from their disagreement with the decision of the National Political Council to exclude from the party’s ranks five members, including two MPs Vladimir Braga and Iurie Bolboceanu. The two have requested to convene an extraordinary congress of the party to discuss the status of the faction. <\/p>\n

In the opinion of Braga, the conflict from within the party was caused by the leadership’s intolerance of other members’ opinions. “Thus, the easiest way to get rid of those that do not share the same opinions is to exclude them from the party’s ranks,” Braga said. <\/p>\n

Asked by REPORTER.MD to comment on the possibility of making up a new political faction, Braghis said this possibility must be discussed with the colleagues that left AMN. <\/p>\n

Speaking of the conflict from inside the party, Braghis said its roots are in the status of the party whose stipulations are contradictory. But this seems to be convenient for Serafim Urechean. <\/p>\n

In answer to former AMN members’ accusations of dictatorial attitude, the leader of the party Serafim Urechean told REPORTER.MD his attitude is democratic and does not fit Braghis’ ambitions. <\/p>\n

“They have infringed the discipline of the party by seeking from the Ministry of Defense to suspend AMN’s activity until an extraordinary congress is convened,” Urechean said. <\/p>\n

The decision to leave the party followed the Saturday’s meeting of the AMN National Political Council that had rejected the initiative of a group of members to convene an extraordinary congress and proposed to exclude five members that have signed the appeal contesting the results of the last congress. <\/p>\n
