\"\"The Chisinau District Electoral Council (CDEC) registered last weekend the documents of a new candidate for the position of general mayor, Eduard Musuc. He will represent the Social Democratic Party of Moldova (PSDM). <\/p>\n

Contacted by REPORTER.MD, Eduard Musuc said that the decision to stand as a candidate in the local elections was taken as a result of debates at the City Hall and at the Central Bureau of PSDM. <\/p>\n

According to Musuc, "the mayor must be a competent man with clear principles and modern visions, who has nothing in common with the nomenclature and corrupt system from the City Hall." <\/p>\n

Musuc is convinced that the November 27 elections will be validated. The Chisinau residents will go to the polls, but the analysts must make forecasts,” the candidate concluded. <\/p>\n

The European Party (PE) was expected to put forward the candidacy of Veceaslav Ionita. Ionita told REPORTER.MD he did not take a final decision yet, but it will be negative more probably. <\/p>\n

Christian Democratic People’s Party (PPCD) did not come yet with a candidate for the position of mayor. Their candidate for the summer local elections, Gheorghe Susarenco, had previously stated he would not stand as a candidate in the November 27 elections. <\/p>\n

“Our Moldova” Alliance (AMN) and the Communist Party (PCRM) did not field candidates for the post of mayor. <\/p>\n

Three candidates have submitted their documents to the Chisinau District Electoral Council so far. Two of them have already been registered.
