Parties must be financed on the basis of unified standards in order to prevent corruption. The draft sets rules of funding political parties and other socio-political organizations (including during election campaigns), control over such financing, and restrictions and sanctions in case the norms are breached. <\/p>\n<p>Source of party funding may be membership fees, income from party&#8217;s own activities, donations, subsidies from the State Budget, rent of party&#8217;s premises and other property, bank deposit interest, proceeds from holding seminars on political, economic and social topics. <\/p>\n<p>Donations may not exceed 15,000 conventional units (one cu is equivalent to 20 lei) a year.
