President of Slovakia Ivan Gasparovic has accepted Vladimir Voronin’s invitation to pay an official visit to Moldova. <\/p>\n

According to the press service of the Presidency, the two officials have met in New York at the 60th anniversary session of the UN General Assembly. <\/p>\n

Mr. Voronin and Mr. Gasparovic spoke on various issues, among which the reform of local public administration in Slovakia, the experience of quick integration into the European Union. They have analyzed the ways of solving the Transdniestrian conflict. <\/p>\n

The Slovakian president said the adoption of the Law on the fundamentals of the special legal status of the settlements from the left bank of the Dniester by the Moldovan Parliament is a step forward. <\/p>\n

At the UN summit Mr. Voronin has also met the US President George W. Bush, the Romanian President Traian Basescu, the EU Secretary General Javier Solana, and other high officials from UNICEF, UNDP etc. \/\/ Reporter.MD<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
