It considers it outdated and incapable of resolving the conflict. &ldquo;The current negotiation format, the OSCE-Russia-Ukraine, is not appropriate from the point of view of existing possibilities and occasions,&rdquo; Romania&rsquo;s Foreign Minister Mihai Razvan Ungureanu said after a meeting with the Moldovan Minister of Foreign Affairs Andrei Stratan on September 9. <\/p>\n<p>Rador agency quoted Mihai Razvan Ungureanu as saying that &quot;Romania acts tactfully and involves in a way that would represent equally our national interest and the interest of the security structures of which we are part.&rdquo; <\/p>\n<p>The Romanian foreign minister said that the Transdniestrian issue is again a foreign policy objective of his country and specified that Romania is not alone in the Transdniestrian dispute. As member of the NATO and future member of the European Union, Romania and the states from these two groups are interested in consolidating the security on the frontier. The Transdniestrian matter is a geographical and political issue. We are concerned about the situation in Transdniestria for the simple reason that it represents a potential zone of regional instability. We and all the riparian states should cooperate in order to increase the security in the region, added Mihai Razvan Ungureanu. <\/p>\n<p>The informal meeting of the two diplomacy heads from September 9 took place on the initiative of the Romanian side.
