The heads of state point to the need of international solidarity to combat terrorism and other challenges and threats to security. <\/p>\n<p>Taking into account the above mentioned, President of the Republic of Moldova and President of Serbia and Montenegro state the following: <\/p>\n<p>1. The Republic of Moldova and Serbia and Montenegro declare their commitment to their relations based on friendship and cooperation, and guided by the Charter of the United Nations, the Helsinki Final Act, and other important international documents. <\/p>\n<p>2. The two states will strengthen the mutually advantageous cooperation both bilaterally and within international and regional organisations and structures, particularly the Central European Initiative, the Danube Cooperation Process, the Stability Pact for South East Europe, the South East European Cooperation Process, etc. <\/p>\n<p>3. Serbia and Montenegro will back Moldova&#8217;s efforts to become a full-fledged member of the South East European Cooperation Process. <\/p>\n<p>4. The Republic of Moldova and Serbia and Montenegro, following the generally recognised norms of the international right, will tightly cooperate both bilaterally and multilaterally against all the challenges and threats to security, including terrorism, organised crime, and illegal traffic in arms, drugs and human beings. <\/p>\n<p>5. Serbia and Montenegro welcome the decision of the Moldovan government to open an embassy in Belgrade. <\/p>\n<p>6. The Republic of Moldova and Serbia and Montenegro will strengthen and extend mutually advantageous relations in economy, trade, transport and communications, energy, tourism, science and culture and other sectors, in order to effectively use the existing potential to heighten the welfare of their citizens. <\/p>\n<p>7. The Republic of Moldova and Serbia and Montenegro speak for consolidating the juridical basis of the bilateral relations, including in fields such as combating legalisation of revenues coming from illegal activities; migration; tourism; combating organised crime; mutually promoting and protecting investments, etc. <\/p>\n<p>8.
