Voronin is expected to meet with EU foreign policy chief Javier Solana and NATO Secretary General Jaap de Hoop Scheffer to discuss the separatist conflict in Transdniester. <\/p>\n

Voronin is scheduled to travel to Strasbourg on 8 June to discuss the same issue with European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso and European Parliament President Josep Borrell Fontelles. <\/p>\n

Transdniester, a mostly Russian-speaking region in Moldova, broke away in 1992 after a short war in which some 1,500 people were killed. <\/p>\n
