It is not possible to achieve political purposes by participating in the polls within election blocs, because these are dissolved immediately after the elections, leader of the Moldovan Popular Republican Party (PPR) Nicolae Andronic said within a TV programme on 4 June. <\/p>\n

Andronic said "the Democratic Moldova Bloc (BMD) set up for the 6 March parliamentary elections proved that several people wanted to obtain the MP mandate in order to avoid criminal charges, others to receive diplomatic passports and not to carry out election promises". <\/p>\n

In the case of the BMD, we have noticed it right after the elections, when the coalition began to disintegrate, Andronic said. <\/p>\n

"We have tried to negotiate the participation in the elections within the BMD, but we have been ignored. During a discussion with the bloc’s leaders, the BMD’s co-chairman Veaceslav Untila has said that Mircea Snegur would be against the Peasants Christian Democratic Party (PTCD), (the former name of the PPR), although he was not in the country. <\/p>\n

"I think that, taken apart, the results obtained by the PTCD in the 2005 parliamentary elections are much better than of other parties which have formed election blocs," Andronic said. <\/p>\n

Andronic said that "the non-communist Urechean behaves worse than a communist, and the fight against the communists has no sense in Chisinau".
