According to Poroshenko, "appointment of a special representative for Moldova by Brussels would exercise a greater positive influence on the situation in Transdniestria." <\/p>\n

At the April 22 Summit of GUUAM leaders, in Chisinau, the Ukrainian chief of state proposed to hold "free and democratic" elections in the separatist enclave and to send Ukrainian peacekeeping troops to the region.
