\"\"Plenary meetings of the Parliament will be aired live by the public TV channels and radio stations. MPs adopted on Friday several amendments to the Parliament’s Regulations, which establish that Parliament’s meetings except the secret one, will be aired live on pubic TV channels and radio stations with national coverage and the minutes of the meetings will be published on the web page of the institution. <\/p>\n

Amendments were drawn up a year ago by a group of MPs from Christian Democratic People’s Party of the former legislature. <\/p>\n

One of the project’s authors is MP Vlad Cubreacov, argued his initiative invoking "the necessity to ensuring legislative act’s transparency" and to respect the constitutional provisions that establish the public character of the Parliament’s meetings. <\/p>\n

Modifications were backed by the MPs from all factions, and the communist MP Iurie Stoicov who made the position of communist parliamentary group public, admitted that a year ago the communist faction would not have accepted such an initiative. He said that in conditions of the current cooperation between parliamentary factions, the communists back the initiative of the Christian-democrats and pronounce themselves for ensuring the legislative act’s transparency. At the same time Stoicov suggested that Parliament should examine the possibility of reserving a separate frequency for televised broadcasting of the plenary meetings. <\/p>\n

It should be mentioned that live broadcasting of Parliament’s meetings on national TV channels and radio stations was one of the conditions negotiated by the Christian Democratic People’s Party with President Vladimir Voronin before his reelection. <\/p>\n
