Gen. Ion Solonenko told Infotag that Transnistrian border-guards did not let Moldovan Minister of Country Reintegration Vasile Sova to Bendery town for the session. He had to wait for about an hour at a check station at the entry to the town under the pretext that the officers had not received any command concerning him from their bosses. <\/p>\n<p>According to Solonenko, the accord to hold an enlarged JCC session with the participation of Vasile Sova and Transnistrian minister of foreign affairs Valery Litkai was achieved yet last week. However, Litkai did not come to Bender yesterday, saying he was having an important meeting with Adriaan Jacobovits de Szeged, the European Union&#8217;s Special Representative on Moldova. <\/p>\n<p>In Valery Litkai&#8217;s absence, the Transnistrian administration decided to preserve &quot;a balance of forces&quot; at the negotiation table through refusing Sova admittance to Bendery, although JCC members were insisting on having the representative of at least one conflicting side in the room, Solonenko explained. <\/p>\n<p>The Russian Co-Chairman of the Joint Control Commission, Oleg Astakhov, said, &quot;As a result, the session was postponed to April 14. Very big hopes are being laid on it. We have approached to a solution of a fairly knotty situation around that [Moldova-controlled] village [situated on the left bank of the Nistru River].
