\"\"The Special Commission for the Elections of the RM President has declared today that the proposals for the Presidential candidatures will be accepted until March 29. As INTERLIC News agency reports with reference to the Parliamentary press service, in accordance with the Law on the Procedure of the Presidential Elections, the candidature can be moved by any person, if it is supported by not less 15 Parliamentaries. <\/p>\n

The proposals on moving the Presidential candidature must be submitted 5 days prior to the elections. It should be accompanied by a written application of a candidate, a certificate of health, an income declaration for 2004-2005, a curriculum vitae of a candidate. These documents are presented to the commission by one of the representatives of the support group. <\/p>\n

Let us remind that the Elections of the President are slated for April 4, 2005. The new Parliament took such decision on March 24. A special commission, consisting of nine Parliamentaries, was set up for this purpose: five from the Party of Communists, two from the Democratic Moldova, one from the Christian Democratic Popular Party and one from the Democratic Party. The majority of 61 Parliamentaries or 3\/5 of the votes are necessary to elect the President. 5 of the votes of the Parliament or at least 61 Parliamentaries. The Communist Party can form the government and the Parliamentary leadership independently by the majority vote – 52 votEs. <\/p>\n

The Parliamentary faction of the Communist Party of the Republic of Moldova will move the Incumbent RM President for the post of the RM President. As INTERLIC News agency reports with reference to the press service of the PCRM, this decision has been taken unanimously today at the plenum of the Central Committee of the Party of Communists of the Republic of Moldova. <\/p>\n

The Members of the Central Committee recommended that the PCRM Parliamentary faction should make the respective proposal in the course of the elections, which will take place next week. The plenum of the Central Committee of the Party of Communists of the Republic of Moldova has also recommended to move the Incumbent RM Minister of Economy Marian Lupu for the post of the new Parliament Speaker and Maria Postoico, which was the Chairman of the Juridical commission for appointments and Immunity in the previous Parliament for the post of a Vice-Speaker. <\/p>\n
