The USA has granted an equipment at $700 thousand to Ukraine for the strengthening of the borders with Moldova. As INTERLIC News agency reports with reference to the Ukrainian mass media, the equipment is designed for the Kotovsk border team (the Odessa Province) and will be transferred to it on March 28. The USA will supply passport control sets, metal finders, photo and video devices, devices for the examination of transport facilities, radio stations, radiation control devices, devices for night watching, binoculars, safes and vehicles. <\/p>\n

It should be noted that in August 2004 the American Company Raytheon Technical Services Co. LLC won the tender for the technical provision of the units of State Ukrainian Border guards at $7.088570 million. In 2002 the USA transferred automobiles vehicles and equipment at $0.46 million to Ukraine. <\/p>\n
