Minister of Reintegration of the Republic of Moldova, Vasile Sova and foreign minister of the self-proclaimed Transdniestrian republic, Valeri Litkai will draw up a plan for deploying the checkpoints in the Seurity Zone. Such a decision was taken at the extraordinary meeting of the Unified Control Commission (UCC) that took place Wednesday at the OSCE headquarters in Tighina (Bender). <\/p>\n

According to Ion Leahu, UCC member on behalf of Chisinau, the respective scheme will serve as basis for a definitive decision on the issue of the Transdniestrian checkpoint in Dorotcaia. <\/p>\n

This issue was discussed during more than one UCC meeting, as well as at separate meetings between the co-presidents of the Commission and mediators, but without any result. Moldova insists on pulling out the checkpoints displaced illegally by the Transdniestrian side, especially because they create serious barriers for the inhabitants of the locality situated on the territory controlled by the separatist authorities in working the land. Transdniestrian administration refuses to comply with these requests, performing the customs control of the agricultural products cultivated by the natives. <\/p>\n
