Within a month, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will elaborate proposals regarding the cancellation of visas for citizens from the member states of the European Union and from the countries that are to adhere to the EU. Such a decision was taken at Wednesday’s meeting of the Government. <\/p>\n

According to Prime Minister Vasile Tarlev, such a legislative initiative would be favorable in the context of Moldova’s actions of European integration. <\/p>\n

“The cancellation of visas for the citizens of the EU countries will essentially enhance the commercial-economic relations and will lead to the increase of the volume of foreign investments in our country,” stated Vasile Tarlev. <\/p>\n

In 2004 Moldova signed with Poland an agreement regarding the facilitation of citizens’ reciprocal trips according to which Polish nationals can travel to our country without visas and the Polish side issues visas for Moldovan nationals free of charge. Such bilateral agreements are negotiated at present with Bulgaria and other countries that are about to adhere to the EU.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
