\"\"The Central Electoral Commission has increased to 90 minutes a day the duration of electoral debates on the National Television and National Radio. Till that decision, the daily timing was 40 minutes, and according to the Concept of election campaign coverage, the initial time limit was set at 120 minutes a week. <\/p>\n

This change has been introduced into the Concept on the initiative by the Audiovisual Coordinating Council. The CEC keeps on repeating that all election runners have to be in equal conditions, and that the campaign must be open and transparent. <\/p>\n

\n

Also, the National Television and National Radio have been permitted to cast news and other materials about pre-election events – public rallies, meetings with voters, and other. Each news show may contain up to 5 stories to be presented in a sequence established by the Audiovisual Coordinating Council. Such stories may not contain electoral contestants’ appeals to voters, or statements, or comments.<\/p>\n
