Moldova’s Permanent Delegation to OSCE reiterated at the meeting from 3 February of the OSCE Permanent Council, the inefficiency of the existent format of negotiations in the \"\"Transnistrian conflict, seeking its modification “if the achievement of some concrete results in the settling process are really wanted,” notes a communique released by Moldovan Ministry of Foreign Affairs. <\/p>\n

Making a statement regarding the report presented to the Permanent Council by the head of OSCE Mission to Moldova, Ambassador William Hill, the delegation of our country insisted on starting consultations on the Transnistrian conflict with the participation of the EU and USA that could promote the settling process which is in dilemma for a long time and insisted also on the importance of adopting the Declaration of Stability and Security for Moldova. <\/p>\n

In the context of unilateral actions undertaken by the separatist leaders lately, Moldovan delegation notices the passivity of the so-called peacekeepers, which do not react in any way to the deliberate aggravation of the situation in the region. “In the situation when the mechanisms for maintaining the stability and security in the zone are inefficient, Moldovan side considers very important to organize an international assessment mission that would inspect the armament stocks and all the military and paramilitary unities deployed in the region,” the cited source mentions. <\/p>\n

OSCE Permanent Council was informed about the open ignorance by Russian representatives of the procedures of going to the Eastern districts set by Moldovan authorities and about the defiant behavior in this context of the Russian diplomat, who flagrantly violates “both the laws and requests of the resident state and international norms in this field,” MFA also informs. <\/p>\n
