OSCE Chairman-in-Office, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Slovenia Dmitry Rupel considers that new possibilities of resuming the negotiation process aiming at identifying a political solution to settle the Transdniestrian conflict showed up after parliamentary elections in Moldova ended. <\/p>\n

Rupel stated this at his meeting with the mediators in the Transdniestrian conflict that took place on April 7 in Ljubljana. <\/p>\n

osce chairman-in-office, Slovenian Foreign Minister Dmitry Rupel informed the mediators about the results of his trip made in March to Moldova and about his meetings with the leadership of Chisinau and Tiraspol. He expressed his hope that the mediators will make supplementary efforts in order to resume the negotiating process. <\/p>\n

According to the press department of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the mediators on behalf of Russia, Ukraine and OSCE have discussed the current situation of the process on settling the Transdniestrian conflict. According to the participants in the meeting, the pause in the official and working contact between Chisinau and Tiraspol arouses serious worries. The mediators agreed on certain number of concert steps aiming at contributing to the speedy resuming of the process on settling the Transdniestrian conflict and agreed to continue practical actions in this direction. <\/p>\n
