Veaceslav Platon was previously sentenced to prison, being accused of fraud, money laundering and active corruption. One year ago, he was released from prison. He participated in the current election campaign as the representative of the only independent candidate from the electoral lists.<\/p>\n<p>Beside promoting Platon&#8217;s image, trolls were also actively involved in denigrating other politicians, including President Maia Sandu.
