Women in Moldova give birth earlier and are more numerous than men, when compared to the EU. The employment discrepancy is smaller, as well as the general unemployment rate and that among young people. Despite the fact that there is a higher number of doctors and beds available in hospitals as a total number per 10 thousand inhabitants, Moldova registers a higher mortality rate per 1000 people (3.3\u2030 more than in the EU) and a more than doubled infant mortality rate (5.3\u2030 more than in the EU). Overall, there is a lower number of adults who can say they are in good health, but twice as many people dying in car crashes when compared to the EU. <span style=\"color: #993300;\">The most representative figure reflecting the real situation of the Moldovan quality of life is the share of population that still doesn&#8217;t have a bathroom inside their house (42.2%).<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The That can be observed when looking at the growing rate of industrial production in the last years, but also at the still significant rate of agricultural production. The high share of agricultural land demonstrates that the country is still focused on extensive farming, rather than intensive. Despite the fact that there is a higher number of doctors and beds available in hospitals as a total number per 10 thousand inhabitants, Moldova registers a higher mortality rate per 1000 people (3.3\u2030 more than in the EU) and a more than doubled infant mortality rate (5.3\u2030 more than in the EU). Overall, there is a lower number of adults who can say they are in good health, but twice as many people dying in car crashes when compared to the EU. <span style=\"color: #993300;\">The most representative figure reflecting the real situation of the Moldovan quality of life is the share of population that still doesn&#8217;t have a bathroom inside their house (42.2%).<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The That can be observed when looking at the growing rate of industrial production in the last years, but also at the still significant rate of agricultural production. The high share of agricultural land demonstrates that the country is still focused on extensive farming, rather than intensive. Moreover, the country has a big deforestation issue.<\/p>\n<p>There are more and more companies appearing on the market, but still a low number of them are innovative.<\/p>\n<p>There was a high inflation rate recorded in 2020 (in comparison to 2019), when the pandemic crisis hit the Moldovan economy.<\/p>\n<p>The statistical data was sourced from the NBS <a
