According to the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/pv.cec.md\/cec-template-presidential-results.html\">Central Electoral Commission<\/a> (CEC)<\/strong>, the preliminary results are as following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Maia Sandu &#8211; 36.16% (487 635 votes)<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Igor Dodon &#8211; 32.61% (439 866 votes)<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Renato Usatii &#8211; 16.90% (227 938 votes)<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Violeta Ivanov &#8211; 6.49% (87 542 votes)<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Andrei Nastase &#8211; 3.26% (43 925 votes)<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Octavian Ticu &#8211; 2.01% (27 170 votes)<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Tudor Deliu &#8211; 1.37% (18 486 votes)<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Dorin Chirtoaca &#8211; 1.20% (16 145 votes)<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Therefore, <span style=\"color: #993300;\">Maia Sandu and Igor Dodon will run for President of the Republic of Moldova<\/span> in the second round of elections, which will be held on November 15, 2020.<\/p>\n<p>The most updated official data <a href=\"https:\/\/a.cec.md\/ro\/cec-a-prezentat-bilantul-preliminar-privind-rezultatele-alegerilor-pentru-2781_98114.html\">showed<\/a> that the voter turnout was about <strong>43% (<b>1 364 597 voters)<\/b><\/strong>, exceeding the validation threshold of 1\/3 of the number of voters registered on the electoral lists. That included 14 709 voters from Transnistria and 149 840 voters who went to the polling stations opened abroad.<\/p>\n<p>Also, <strong>Promo-LEX Observation Mission (OM)<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/promolex.md\/19045-misiunea-de-observare-promo-lex-prezinta-ultimele-date-din-ziua-alegerilor-prezidentiale-din-1-noiembrie-2020\/?lang=ro\">informed<\/a> that, on November 1, until 10 p.m., the Mission had received <strong>520<\/strong> incident reports from observers, a part of them still being processed. The reported violations include organised voter transportation (by buses, passenger vans or other vehicles that wouldn\u2019t normally be around), presence of advertising materials, electoral billboards and posters in the vicinity of the polling station, electioneering or black PR, deficiencies in the list of voters, taking pictures of the ballot papers and other violations of the secret ballot.<\/p>\n<p>Several candidates have made statements, thanking the electorate for votes, but also declaring their support for (or against) the candidates who will be running for president in the second round.<\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;Yesterday, Moldovan people won,&#8221;<\/em> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.privesc.eu\/arhiva\/92498\/Conferinta-de-presa-sustinuta-de-Presedinta-Partidului-Actiune-si-Solidaritate--Maia-Sandu\">said<\/a> Maia Sandu during a press conference. <em>&#8220;You are ok with the results now.
