{"id":448540,"date":"2020-07-12T13:30:47","date_gmt":"2020-07-12T13:30:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.moldova.org\/en\/?p=448540"},"modified":"2020-07-12T13:41:06","modified_gmt":"2020-07-12T13:41:06","slug":"the-state-of-public-health-emergency-was-again-prolonged-in-moldova","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.moldova.org\/en\/the-state-of-public-health-emergency-was-again-prolonged-in-moldova\/","title":{"rendered":"The state of Public Health Emergency was again prolonged in Moldova"},"content":{"rendered":"<span class=\"span-reading-time rt-reading-time\" style=\"display: block;\"><span class=\"rt-label rt-prefix\">Reading Time: <\/span> <span class=\"rt-time\"> 3<\/span> <span class=\"rt-label rt-postfix\">minutes<\/span><\/span><p>The <strong><em>National Extraordinary Public Health Commission (NEPHC)<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0decided, on July 10, that the\u00a0state of <span style=\"color: #993300\">Public Health Emergency<\/span> must be prolonged again until July 31, taking into consideration the large numbers of confirmed COVID-19 cases that continue to be recorded in the Republic of Moldova.<\/p>\n<p>As the the <strong>Ministry of Health, Labour and Social Protection (MHLSP)<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/msmps.gov.md\/comunicare\/comunicate\/starea-de-urgenta-in-sanatate-publica-se-prelungeste-pana-la-31-iulie\/\">informed<\/a>, <span style=\"color: #993300\">previously imposed restrictions still remain in place.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>For example, restrictions regarding keeping social distance, hand hygiene rules, wearing masks in public transport, commercial spaces and closed public spaces, are maintained.\u00a0\u00a0Also, there are restrictions, such as groups of maximum 3 people in public spaces, meetings with the participation of maximum 50 people with a strict evidence of their identity, restricted access to public spaces of people aged 63 and over, no private events, as well as nightclubs, educational, cultural, sport centres, rest camps, treatment institutions, cinemas, concert halls, theatres remain closed.<\/p>\n<p>As of the <a href=\"https:\/\/gov.md\/sites\/default\/files\/hotarire_cnesp_nr._20_din_10.07.2020_final.pdf\">NEPHC decision no. 20<\/a> of July 10, <span style=\"color: #993300\">the\u00a0access of foreign citizens\u00a0and stateless persons is still forbidden on the territory of Moldova<\/span>, with the following exceptions:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>family members of the citizens of the Republic of Moldova;<\/li>\n<li>persons holding a long-stay visa, a residence permit or a document equivalent to a residence permit issued by the authorities;<\/li>\n<li>persons being on business trips, proved by a visa, residence permit or other equivalent document;<\/li>\n<li>members of diplomatic missions and consular posts accredited in Republic of Moldova, of international organisations \/ missions, as well as members of their families or personnel who provide humanitarian aid;<\/li>\n<li>passengers in transit, including those who are repatriated;<\/li>\n<li>people travelling for health and humanitarian reasons (with the presentation of confirmatory documents);<\/li>\n<li>cross-border workers;<\/li>\n<li>drivers and service personnel, performing\u00a0transportation of goods, crews and service personnel of aircraft, ships and trains.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Persons who enter the\u00a0Republic of Moldova during this period have to fill in an epidemiological form, as well as a\u00a0declaration on their own responsibility to comply with the\u00a0<span style=\"color: #993300\">self-isolation regime of\u00a014 days\u00a0in determined places<\/span><strong>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\"><strong>Exception<\/strong><\/span><strong> to the self-isolation provisions<\/strong> is established for the following categories of persons (if they do not show clinical signs of respiratory infection or fever):<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>drivers and service personnel, performing\u00a0transportation of the goods, crews and service personnel of aircraft, ships and trains;<\/li>\n<li>persons travelling for health or humanitarian reasons;<\/li>\n<li>pupils and students, enrolled in abroad educational units,\u00a0which have to take tests or exams;<\/li>\n<li>persons being on business trips, proved by a visa, residence permit or other equivalent document;<\/li>\n<li>cross-border workers;<\/li>\n<li>members of diplomatic missions and consular posts accredited in Republic of Moldova, of international organisations \/ missions, as well as members of their families or personnel who provide humanitarian aid;<\/li>\n<li>people in transit.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The COVID-19 pandemic had a significant social, economic and psychological impact on the population of the Republic of Moldova.
