The most recent survey conducted by the Association of Sociologists and Demographers shows that every 5th citizen of the Republic of Moldova doesn’t trust any politician. At least, the results of t. According to them, people have been tired of early elections and are not convinced that they will participate in any electoral ballot.<\/p>\n

“We have noticed that both the experts and the respondents are very worried about the situation in our country. People hope that parties will find a common language,” remarks Victor Mocanu, president of the Association of Sociologists and Demographers.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Although they say they are volunteers for electoral votes, 15.4% of respondents believe that early elections are needed in order to avoid the political crisis in the country. However, 33.2% of the people said they felt that no party would get a parliamentary majority.<\/p>\n

Reminder:<\/strong> On February 24, parliamentary elections took place in the Republic of Moldova, where the new deputies in the Parliament were elected. Unlike previous parliamentary elections, they were based on the mixed electoral system in a national constituency and in uninominal constituencies. In the uninominal constituencies, 51 deputies were elected on the basis of the majority vote, one from each constituency.<\/p>\n

On March 9, the Constitutional Court validated the results of the parliamentary elections, as a result of which the Socialist Party obtained 35 mandates in the new legislature, the Democratic Party – 30 mandates, the ‘ACUM’ opposition bloc – 26 mandates, and the Shor Party – 7 mandates.<\/p>\n
