On World Press Freedom Day, journalists from Moldova refused to walk the 19 steps towards the Parliament and carried out a flash mob on the sidewalk of the Stefan cel Mare Boulevard.<\/p>\n

The Center for Independent Journalism in partnership with other media organizations in Moldova, launched the Press Freedom Days in Moldova<\/em>. Journalists, civic activists and politicians participated in the flash-mob where a panel with the Enemies of the Press was displayed. According to the Center, the protagonists of this panel are parties and deputies from the current parliament that have shown hostile behavior towards media institutions and journalists between 3 May 2018 and 3 May 2019.<\/p>\n[aesop_image imgwidth=”100%” img=”http:\/\/www.moldova.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/20190503_112039.jpg” align=”center” lightbox=”on” captionposition=”left” revealfx=”off”]\n

After seeing his appearance on the Press Enemy panel, Andrew N\u0103stase, the PPDA leader, said that politicians are forced to have more tolerance and patience “with those who forget what deontology means and what it means to be a true journalist.<\/p>\n

“I am honored to have criticized the holding controlled by Plahotniuc after 9 years of fighting, and untrustworthy media.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
