After declaring previously that no official invitation was received from the political bloc ACUM as a response to last ACUM invitation on Facebook, the Party of Socialists of the Republic of Moldova(PSRM) took the lead again by officially inviting ACUM to discuss the formation of the parliamentary majority and the establishment of a new functional government.\u00a0<\/strong>According to the declarations<\/a> of Ion Ceban made during a press conference today, the socialists appointed a meeting with the members of ACUM bloc on Thursday, 11 April, 11 am, in the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova.<\/p>\n

The political bloc ACUM commented the PSRM invitation by highlighting the importance of discussions on the legislative initiatives regarding the de-oligarchization of the state and declaring that no ruling coalition with the PSRM is needed<\/strong>. “These discussions with the PSRM faction are possible on the transparent parliamentary platform, and there is a strong public commitment from the PSRM to dismantle the current mafia regime,”<\/em> mentioned<\/a> the ACUM representatives, according to TV8.<\/p>\n

At the same time, ACUM repeatedly demanded the resumption of the Parliament’s sitting\u00a0and the return to the legal and constitutional framework by sending an official note<\/a> to\u00a0Eduard Smirnov, the PSRM member\u00a0“who has been authorized to chair the deliberate interruption of Parliament’s sitting, for an indefinite period.”<\/em><\/p>\n

Igor Dodon claimed<\/a> that if no law is adopted in the newly-formed Legislature by mid-June, and the Parliament speaker is not elected, then at the end of the three months period he will be able to dissolve the Parliament.\u00a0“I can not say that everything is lost, but I think that the probability of snap elections is not less than 60%. This is based on statements made by political parties so far,”<\/em> the head of state said.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, one of the leaders of ACUM bloc, Andrei N\u0103stase, declared in a Facebook post<\/a> that the Socialists deliberately launched such negotiating conditions, which can’t be accepted even by the Democrats . “Dodon will provoke snap elections based on the mixed voting system with the support of the Democrats …,” N\u0103stase said.<\/p>\n

The political experts consider<\/a> that no coalition between the PSRM and ACUM is possible anymore and that they do not meet because they do not want it and both invent different pretexts not to do so.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
