Tiraspol has legalized the acquisition of cryptocurrency in January 2018, after the adoption of the Law on Blockchain Technology Development.<\/p>\n

The Transnistrian Cryptocurrency Business has the main beneficiary Sheriff Holding and a former employee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, according to an investigation published by anticoruptie.md<\/em> and signed<\/a> by Ilie Gulca and Madalin Necsuzu. The acquisition of the equipment was carried out by a bank involved in the theft of the billion<\/strong> in Moldova. The actors and businesses involved in the scheme have businesses in the energy, telecommunication, internet in Crimea and in the West.<\/p>\n

Technopark<\/a> is based in the Business Center “Rossia”, one of the most modern buildings in Tiraspol, in contrast to the gray of Soviet architecture. This is a state-owned company that has its own cryptocurrency business. Anyone who wants to invest in cryptographic production in Transnistria must reach Technopark OJSC first. Hence, the potential investor is taken over by director Veaceslav Cernikevich, who takes care of all diligence.<\/p>\n

This state-owned company intermediates the sale of electricity produced by the Moldavskaya GRES, owned by the Russian company Inter-Rao, and the Sheriff’s Tirotex-Energo Power Plant, the Moldovan Thermoelectric Power Plant.<\/p>\n

All this works on the Russian gas supplied by SA Moldovagaz, on debt, on the left bank of the Dniester River. Tiraspol does not pay the spent gas<\/strong>, the entire debt, over $7,000,000,000<\/strong>, accruing to Moldovagaz.<\/p>\n

According to a report of the Russian concert in September 2018, Moldovagaz’s debt to Gazprom amounted to over $6,000,000,000.<\/h2>\n

Over 90% of this debt is the debt of TAD Tiraspoltransgaz to Gazprom. Added to that, another $1,200,000,000 is given by Gazprom in December 2005 to an offspring company called Factoring Finance.<\/p>\n

The Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure has refused to disclose the value of SA Moldovagaz’s debt to Gazprom for gas consumed in the Transnistrian region.<\/h3>\n

At the same time, the representatives of the same ministry said that the Government of the Republic of Moldova does not assume its obligations towards external suppliers, even if the state owns 35.33% of the shares of Moldovagaz SA.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Thus, on the gas provided by Moldovagaz, on Tiraspol’s debt, the self-proclaimed authorities in Tiraspol tell the potential investors that they offer “the best conditions in the world” for acquiring cryptocurrency.<\/p>\n

Tiraspol’s future plans are aimed at big targets. The ultimate goal is to exploit the maximum capacity of power generation by the Cuciurgan Power Plant, which currently operates at 17% capacity.<\/p>\n

“We have a considerable reserve of electricity. Basically, we can produce up to 700-900 MWh. It’s a prospect that we can reach if there is a demand for it,” declared Betanov.<\/p>\n

Andrei Betanov, 29, is the director of the Tiraspol investment agency who, with the help of Igor Ceaika’s role in organized the blockhouse on the left bank of the Dniester River. Andrei Betanov held important positions within the Ministry of Economy of the so-called Transnistrian Moldovan Republic. He was first head of the section responsible for strategic projects and then, of the State Service of Privatization of the Ministry of Economy in Tiraspol. He is a native of Bender and studied at the Slavonic University in Chisinau.<\/p>\n
