The President of the Republic of Moldova, Igor Dodon, has officially invited the leaders of the Party of Socialists of the Republic of Moldova (PSRM), the Democratic Party of Moldova (DPM) and those of the political bloc ACUM to discussions on the matter of creation of a parliamentary majority.<\/p>\n

An appointment with\u00a0 each leader of the political parties was made. Thus, the leader of the PSRM, Zinaida Grecean\u00eei, was invited to the discussions at the State Residence on March 26th, at 14:00, the DPM leader, Vlad Plahotniuc, was invited on the same day at 15:00, and the leaders of ACUM, Maia Sandu and Andrei N\u0103stase at 16:00.<\/p>\n

“As you already know, we have a post-electoral political blockage. Parties that entered the Parliament do not want to talk to each other. A political vacuum has been created. Such a situation can not last too much. According to the Constitution of the Republic of Moldova, if no laws are adopted in the Parliament for three months, then the President may dissolve the Parliament. I think we can not afford to wait three months. We need to have a serious discussion with parties that can create a parliamentary majority,<\/strong> “Igor Dodon said during a press conference.<\/a><\/p>\n

The head of state also announced that if the leaders of the mentioned parties can not make a majority, then the president will announce snap elections.<\/p>\n

The socialists will be represented by Zinaida Grecean\u00eei at the tomorrow’s discussion, whereas the other leaders of the political parties have provided no answer yet, according to TV8<\/a>.<\/p>\n
