The electoral bloc ACUM rejected the invitation<\/a> to dialogue received from the Party of Socialists of the Republic of Moldova (PSRM). At a press conference, the leaders of the bloc, Maia Sandu and Andrei Nastase, reiterated their commitment of not making any alliances with the Democratic Party of Moldova (DPM), the PSRM and the “\u0218or” Party.<\/p>\n

“We have assumed, with maximum responsibility, a single partnership – that with the Moldovan citizens. The DPM and the PSRM are further disguising their alliance that has been established for years. We are waiting to see the outcome of the affair between Plahotniuc and Dodon who want to use the electoral bloc ACUM in an obscure coalition,”<\/strong> declared<\/a> Andrei N\u0103stase.<\/p>\n

At the same time, the electoral bloc ACUM proposed several bills “for the elimination of the oligarchy in the state”, asking all members of the future Parliament “who care about the citizens of the Republic of Moldova” to vote on them during the first meetings of the Parliament.
\nThe proposed bills include the adoption of the Parliament Declaration on the captured character of the state institutions, the adjustment of the normative framework necessary for the dismissal of the General Prosecutor, of the head of Information and Security Service (ISS), as well as of the National Anti-corruption Center (NAC), of the members of the Central Electoral Comission (CEC) and of some other key institutions’ figures.<\/em><\/p>\n

Additionally, the cancellation of the mixed electoral system, the adoption of the\u00a0Magnitsky Law, and the creation of 3 parliamentary committees for investiating the Great Bank Robbery investigation, the consequences of implementing the law on capital amnesty, and the money laundering schemes LANDROMAT<\/em> were proposed.<\/p>\n

N\u0103stase also declared that\u00a0the bills proposed by ACUM will be discussed in Parliament, not at the head offices of political parties.<\/p>\n

After the official refusal of the bloc ACUM, the PSRM representative, Ion Ceban, announced<\/a> that a new meeting of the party will be organized in order to decide the PSRM next actions. He declared that the Socialists will announce their political agenda, most probably, after the first session of the newly formed Parliament. “Until that moment, we will evaluate the most appropriate scenarios and solutions that are required in the current situation,”<\/strong> said Ion Ceban.<\/p>\n

The Socialists qualified the decision of the ACUM as an irresponsible one, accusing them of adopting the “ostrich policy”. “They have misled their own voters, to whom they promised to relaunch the ruling elite and the country’s economy,”<\/strong> claimed Ceban.<\/p>\n

Igor Bo\u021ban, the executive director of the Association for Participatory Democracy ADEPT, considers that the proposed bills by the bloc ACUM is a counteroffer for the DPM, rather than for the PSRM.
