Being passioned about writing and music, Sorina is learning to discover her own path, or maybe several of them. The protagonist of the today\u2019s story really knows the meaning of the word multitasking. She would certainly know how to explain it to anybody.<\/p>\n<h3>About being a journalist, a student and a singer<\/h3>\n<p>Sorina manages to blend the activity of studying journalism, doing her bachelor\u2019s degree at the Babe\u0219-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, with her job as a journalist and singing in StudBand &#8211; a young and talented musical band. \u201cMy studies offer me a good background and connect me with people who I wouldn\u2019t have met otherwise \u2013 my professors who have a wide experience in radio, television and communication, mentors from whom I get support and inspiration for some ideas for projects, people I meet at various events that help me better understand the society we are a part of,\u201d explains Sorina. She has a part time job at a news platform. \u201cWhen starting your work experience, you are thrown directly into the ring and you have the responsibility to do everything by the book.\u201d That is why, Sorina is thankful for every help she received from her more experienced colleagues.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cBeing engaged in the field is the best way to understand if the job you are preparing for is what you really want.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>During the first two years of her bachelor\u2019s degree, she was volunteering for the university radio station \u2013 UBB Radio. According to Sorina, that was a crucial period when she became accustomed to a tight schedule and got to know a lot of interesting people who were invited at a weekly show she moderated. \u201cI remember the interviews with the writer Ioana P\u00e2rvulescu or with a journalist I admire &#8211; Iuliana Tudor. I also remember one of my first journalistic experiences in Cluj. I made a reportage about the protests organised in February 2016. We went along with the protesters, took pictures, talked to them. Nonetheless, she never gives up in trying to create a balance between all the important aspects of her life.<\/p>\n<h3>About her \u201cgood luck\u201d<\/h3>\n<p>Sorina\u2019s surname \u2013 \u201cNoroc\u201d is translated as \u201cgood luck\u201d from Romanian. Paradoxically, our personage doesn\u2019t believe in luck. \u201cI think only when you get involved very much in what you are doing, the stars align to help you.\u201d However, she admits some divine intervention. \u201cI had some situations in my life when I felt that things were arranged just as they had to be. The most important moment I remember is the confidence I had about coming to Cluj. I am a person who overanalyses things. Spontaneity is not the highlight of the behavioural traits I have. However, something happened at that moment. I feel connected to it and to the wonderful people I met here,\u201d reveals Sorina. Sorina feels sorry for that, in a way. \u201cWhat reminds me of my home town when I&#8217;m in Cluj, are the people of the Republic of Moldova, with whom I am connected. Especially, there are a lot of Moldovan students that speak the Romanian language with our local accent. That brings a smile on my face every time I hear them.
