The leader of the Action and Solidarity Party, Maia Sandu, argues<\/a> that in the last half year the opposition party has become the main target of government attacks<\/strong>, and this, according to her, is proof that “the government is scared.”<\/p>\n

“And they do have to be worried, the things they’re accusing us for are false,” Maia Sandu said in an interview for Radio Free Europe.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Regarding allegations that she was in government when the bill was stolen from the banking system, the Action and Solidarity Party leader said that everyone knows who is responsible for the theft of the bill\u00a0and, if otherwise – “all state bodies would have been put it on her shoulders if she had the slightest guilt for the embezzlement that happened.”<\/p>\n

As for the accusations that she opposed the increase in more social benefits for children in 2015 when she was minister of education, Maia Sandu said she has always been to provide assistance to people who really need this assistance.<\/p>\n

“That’s what we promise to do: to stop the thieves, to increase budget revenues, also because of economic development and to give rightly targeted to those who need this money indemnities,” said Maia Sandu.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

According to her, the accusations from Plahotniuc’s usurped\u00a0government will continue.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Maia Sandu also mentioned that this campaign is for those citizens who truly want a change, for those “who want to get rid of the corrupt, anti-citizenship regime, in order to raise people’s income so that justice is done through independent justice, and in order to improve educational services”.<\/p>\n

Asked how many mandates she hopes to take the bloc “ACUM” after parliamentary elections, Maia Sandu said that enough to form a government\u00a0and that these changes can be met.<\/p>\n
