Only in a later stage, the founder is the one in charge of the company’s mission. “According to the phase of the project, I’m working on switching these roles. We even have some venture capital initiatives that are ready to invest in IT companies from Moldova,” mentions Mihai. There is still work to be done in resolving legal issues and in developing the product building know-how, according to his opinion. “What is missing is the right mindset. It starts when failures are not viewed as something very bad and ends when the companies are built not only for money, but also for adding value to society.”

About Moldova

Mihai says that people in Moldova have great potential. “Because I had limited resources, I developed the ambition I have right now. In Moldova, the disadvantages can turn into the biggest advantages, boosting the ability to compete, according to the Mihai’s point of view. “People in Moldova grow with this limiting belief that they can’t do it, it is like a self-fulfilling prophecy. Still, his best education, as he says, was received through the always growing interest in reading books and listening to podcasts.

About his passions and motivators

Mihai is one of those lucky persons, as some of us would say, that does exactly what he is passioned about. “Sometimes, I think about how it would have been, if I had worked on something I don’t like, and I conclude that it would have made me very unhappy.” Mihai’s biggest passions are innovation, technology and startups building. “I always pick something that maybe is not that promising but is very much congruent with what I am fond of. At the beginning, one does everything. In the USA, they say: CEO – Chief Everything Officer,” explains Mihai. He believes that the process of finding a business model and validation of an idea can’t be delegated to somebody else and never should be. As he states: “This is a certain path to the death of the company.” Next, the founder becomes a recruiter, when the company starts to operate. Only in a later stage, the founder is the one in charge of the company’s mission. “According to the phase of the project, I’m working on switching these roles. Generally, my life is a project. I evaluate my resources, I have a mission and deadlines.
