On December 20,\u00a0President Igor Dodon presented<\/a> the sums of his two-year work. According to him, a lot of things have been done. Dodon described in detail what he did and how the government and the parliament “prevented” him from working.<\/p>\n

Dodon’s totalisation press conference took place at the headquarters of the presidential palace, recently inaugurated after the reparation. The head of the state congratulated all the citizens of Moldova on the fact that after many years, finally, the “symbol of statehood” was repaired. He thanked Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdo\u011fan for the presidential palace repair. And added that “in the experts’ opinion, this is the most beautiful administrative building in the republic”. He also announced that from the 15th of January, every week, in the presidential palace the day of open doors will be organized. Next week, over 500 children from vulnerable families will attend a home excursion, Dodon said.<\/p>\n

Before presenting the activity report, Dodon told journalists about how he was prevented from meeting these achievements.<\/p>\n

Dodon complained that those who control the parliament and the government did their best to control the president.\u00a0However, according to him, he managed to cope with all the challenges and turned the citizens’ trust towards the presidency.<\/p>\n

“In the past two years, it has been a double administration,” the head of state said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Dodon reminded that in the last 20 years, he became the first president elected by the people.<\/p>\n

Dodon explained that, during the current political situation, there are two options: “to get people out in the street” or “a diplomatic, democratic way of trying to block everything with disagreement and to propose initiatives”.
