President Igor Dodon went back to the Russian Federation, where he will attend the meeting of the Supreme Council of the Eurasian Economic Union, as well as the informal meeting of the CIS Heads of State.<\/p>\n

President Dodon’s visit to Russia takes place only a week after his last visit to Russia.<\/p>\n

Igor Dodon mentioned on his Facebook account that he “will hold bilateral meetings with the leaders of other states”<\/strong> in these forums.<\/p>\n

He will also have a meeting with the authorities of St. Petersburg.<\/p>\n

“I would like to mention that the Republic of Moldova participates at the UEEA summit as a state-observer for the first time. Ater May’s session in Sochi, Moldova became the first observer country within this economic structure,” declared Dodon.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Please note that in May 2018, Moldova received observer status with the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU).<\/p>\n

Later, President Andrian Candu declared that neither the Government nor the legislative forum had submitted requests to the Eurasian Economic Union and did not request any explicit statute by law.<\/p>\n

“Under these circumstances, Igor Dodon and the Socialist Party are those who have received observer status, and definitely not the Republic of Moldova.
