Today, President Igor Dodon had a meeting<\/a> with Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin\u00a0in Moscow.<\/p>\n

Igor Dodon announced that both diplomats agreed on excluding the customs duties on exports to Russia of the following Moldovan products: vegetables, fruits<\/em> (apples, cherries, plums, nectarines, etc.), canned fruits and vegetables<\/em> and wine products<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Moreover, amnesty measures will be taken in favor of Moldovans working in the Russian Federation who have, for various reasons, violated Article 26 of Russian law.<\/p>\n

Igor Dodon mentioned that he had discussed\u00a0the possibility of attracting Russian investments in the implementation of infrastructure projects for the benefit of the inhabitants of both banks of the Dniester River.<\/p>\n

The Moldovan president said that “Russia is the first investor in R Moldova” and that for certain products (grapes and apples) “the Russian market accounts for 80-90% of Moldova’s total exports.” In fact, the Russian authorities often destroy tens of tons of apples, claiming they are not in conformity.
