At the event, which brought together heads of Defense in 82 countries, the topics that were tackled are related to the current threats to global security caused by violent extremist organizations, as well as the importance of partnerships and enhanced communication to identify and counteract such threats.<\/p>\n

In the margins of the conference, General Cutie had a series of meetings with counterparts from Lithuania, Estonia, Georgia and representatives of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, where the officials discussed the main achievements on the military dimension and identifying new areas of cooperation in this regard.<\/p>\n

In Washington, the National Army commander also met with the US Ambassador to the United States, Cristina Balan, who informed him about the defense institution’s priorities, including strengthening the strategic partnership with the United States.<\/p>\n
