Ghile\u021bchi himself was not present at the Parliament plenary meeting. With the exception of the Democrats, all caucuses called on the MP to resign and for another voting to be held.<\/p>\n<p>According to the Liberal-Democrat MP Tudor Deliu, only 34 MPs voted for the appointment of Ghile\u021bchi, not the declared\u00a051.\u00a0Photos of the 22 December Parliament session when Ghile\u021bchi was appointed, presented by Deliu, clearly show that not even half of the present deputies voted for the decision.<\/p>\n<p>Valeriu Ghile\u021bchi, a former Liberal-Democrat, now MP of the European People\u2019s Party of Moldova, was appointed as Vice-Speaker of the Moldovan Parliament on 22 December 2017 after Iurie Leanc\u0103 submitted his resignation, having been assigned the position of Deputy PM for European Integration.
