I will not comment the decision&#8221;<\/em>, declared B\u0103sescu after the trial.<\/p>\n<p>The legal adviser to President Igor Dodon, Maxim Lebedinschi, seemed satisfied with the decision:<\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;Offering citizenship of Moldova to persons under penal investigation is prohibited. At the moment (he) received the citizenship, he was part of several penal cases. Mr.B\u0103sescu did not prove until today how he told the Moldovan authorities that he was under penal investigation&#8221;<\/em>, said Lebedinschi.<\/p>\n<p>Andrei Bivol, B\u0103sescu&#8217;s lawyer, thinks the decision is illegal:<\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;It is an inexistent argument. This hiding regards facts that were absolutely known. The law on the citizenship does not stipulate the obligation to present such information. He (B\u0103sescu) was not asked additional information. The alleged errors could not be contested by withdrawing the citizenship.
