The Russian Deputy Prime Minister’s reaction comes to a news story on TASS<\/a> about Igor Dodon’s meeting with the Rospotrebnadzor \u0441hief of the Russian Federation.<\/p>\n

Dodon expressed gratitude to the leadership of the Russian Federation for the indulgence for Moldovan fruits and vegetables:<\/p>\n

“We are interested in eliminating the customs duties on 5 categories of products from 19, which have been imposed taxes in 2014. This will increase the export of Moldovan agri-food products.<\/p>\n

At the same time, I asked for an examination of the possibility of expanding the list of Moldovan companies producing fruit and vegetables, wine, canned meat, which will have the right to be exported to the Russian market,” declared Dodon at the meeting with Anna Popova.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The head of state also noted that the issue of access to the Russian market for fruit and vegetable cans and wine, which is currently being carried out only at the border crossing point in Bryansk, remains an issue and needs to be addressed.<\/p>\n

Dodon said that all the issues discussed will also be raised in the next week meeting with Vladimir Putin at Sochi.<\/p>\n
