At least, this can be deducted from the <a href=\"http:\/\/president.gospmr.org\/press-sluzhba\/novosti\/glava-mid-pmr-rasskazal-prezidentu-o-merah-predprinimaemih-vneshnepoliticheskim-vedomstvom-respubliki-dlya-doneseniya-pozitsii-pridnestrovjya.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">recent statement of the Tiraspol administration<\/a> after the meeting of the local leader Vadim Krasnoselsky with the local &#8220;foreign minister&#8221;, Vitaly Igantiev.<\/p>\n<p>The latter reportedly informed Krasnoselsky about the progress made by the joint expert groups on automobile transportation.<img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-444589\" src=\"http:\/\/www.moldova.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2017\/09\/049052050057057.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1500\" height=\"1000\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.moldova.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2017\/09\/049052050057057.jpg 1500w, https:\/\/www.moldova.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2017\/09\/049052050057057-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.moldova.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2017\/09\/049052050057057-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.moldova.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2017\/09\/049052050057057-1024x683.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1500px) 100vw, 1500px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>In particular, he informed about sending a letter to all actors of the 5+2 dialogue on the compromises acceptable for Tiraspol in order to have access to the international traffic:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>&#8220;Yesterday, Transnistria sent an official letter to all the participants of the 5+2 format with a position paper containing all those compromise\u00a0steps that we are willing to take in regard to the participation of the Transnistrian auto transportation in the international traffic. We think that this problem can be solved in the close future with the necessary political will from the behalf of Chi\u0219in\u0103u and their readiness for taking compromise decisions&#8221;<\/em>, accordingly said Ignatiev.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>In his turn, Krasnoselsky appreciated the current development around the issue and underlined that it is in Transnistria&#8217;s interest to use neutral number plates and registration cards:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>&#8220;The citizens must register the automobiles, receive the respective documents and number plates according to their residence&#8221;<\/em>, indicated PMR&#8217;s\u00a0<em>president<\/em>.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Two weeks before, representatives of the Tiraspol administration <a href=\"http:\/\/www.moldova.org\/en\/tiraspol-refuses-chisinaus-solutions-common-registration-vehicles\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">insisted<\/a> on allowing registration of vehicles with foreign passports and on registration certificates issued by regional \u201cstructures\u201d. Reminding of the provisions of the 1968 Vienna Convention that issuing authority is responsible for the vehicles in the international traffic, the Moldovan experts refused the counterproposal, but reiterated their openness to a neutral model of number plates and accepted the possibility of them being made in Tiraspol.<\/p>\n<p>It is worth mentioning that Transnistria has its own car number plates that are not accepted in the international traffic because of the unrecognized status of the region. The Transnistria-registered cars can be driven on the right bank of Nistru if they have Moldovan insurance license.
