In the first half of this year, $22.1 million were invested in free economic zones in Moldova. The total volume of investments in the free economic zones summed up to USD 305.3 million, 26.5% more than on July 1, 2016.<\/p>\n

In January-June 2017 the total volume of net sales of industrial production increased by 18.8% (in current prices) compared to the same period last year, and amounted to 2339.5 million lei.<\/p>\n

The volume of exports of goods and services overall increased by 23% in the reference period and summed up to 2111.9 million lei. The share of free economic zones in the volume of exports of the Republic of Moldova in the first semester of 2017 was 10.6% compared to 10.1% in the similar period of 2016 and 8.5% compared to 2015.<\/p>\n

In the mid 2017, seven free economic zones were activated, on the territory of which 167 residents were registered.<\/p>\n

The number of employees of residents of the free zones summed up to 9,205 people or 1.5 times more than on July 1 2016.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
