The ship was detained by the Russian border guards in the Ohotsk Sea, the Kamceatka region, for violating the law on the continental shelf, says the Russian news agency TASS<\/a>.<\/p>\n

TASS<\/a> claims that ‘The “Severus”, although sailing under the Moldovan flag, is registered in the port of Giurgiulesti. The crew consisted of 13 people – eight Russian citizens and five Ukrainians.’<\/p>\n

A fishing gear was found on board, while the freezing room contained a bait weighing more than 3.5 tons. The ship is intended for industrial fishing and the transportation of crabs.<\/p>\n

Nevertheless, the ship “Severus” did not contain a logbook and the documents that allow the crew to fish in the exclusive economic Russian area.<\/p>\n

This vessel was detained for illegal activities back in year 2014.<\/p>\n
